Hot on the heels of my last adventure module – Kohtumine: The Great Gathering of Ships – comes a setting module with a distinctly less nautical flair and a focus on the interplay between towns and villages in the region called Temerrit. The Field Guide to Temerrit adventure setting will provide ten distinctly different town maps – from small caravan style gatherings to desert outposts to a massive capital city. Each of these can be used as is, or as a stand in to represent a new location of your choosing!
A province of a grand empire fallen to civil war, Temerrit has suffered mightily over the past five years. With the murder of their once powerful duke at the hands of a fallen paladin – Palrom the Tarnished – the province’s towns and villages were raided, pillaged, and many forced into servitude. Those towns that remained free have developed a serious separatist streak since the central government was unable to aid the province in their time of need. Eventually, new heroes arose and took the fight to Palrom’s forces. What happened amidst the ruins of the plain tribes temples isn’t known, but the result impacts all – a massive eruption of lava and a smoking crater called Palrom’s Ember now dominates the Southwestern portion of the province. An ugly scar of cracked earth and charred grasslands spreads for miles around. Cults, brigands, and elementals find a happy home here in the most lawless parts of the province.
Time to feast your eyes on the first map of the province!
