I have ample experience with a variety of elementary through middle school grade levels in a highly-renowned school district with exceptionally high teaching standards. In addition, I have a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, giving me a wide breadth of knowledge in regards to current trends in education such as multi-cultural and culturally relevant education, the use of equity in the classroom, and experience with the implications and requirements of Title 1 instruction. Finally, I have experience teaching middle school science curriculum to diverse learners and modifying it for a new generation of digitally skilled students.
I have experience consulting with DK Publishing, part of Penguin/Random House in support of their creation of a 2nd and 3rd Grade Problem Solving Workbook. As an educational consultant, I analyzed and reviewed products for effectiveness and accuracy in support of project goals. In addition, I ensured product alignment with nationwide common-core standards and indicators through collaboration with editors and publisher. I also have experience working with non-profits in the education sector to support student growth and achievement in after-school and summertime programs. I am available to be a consultant for any educational manuscript, project, or product. Please contact me using the function available above.
