NaNoWriMo2017 – Motivation

Argh! Motivation you kill me! New Poem!

Hi All,

Been super busy these last few days and had less time than I wanted for typing. Grad schools classes don’t really lend themselves to allowing for free time, but that’s an excuse, not a good reason.

New Poem – Walls – NaNoWriMo 2017

Another NaNoWriMo Poem – Walls

Happy Almost Thanksgiving!

I was in a bit of an introspective mood this weekend, so in between writing about Aurelia and Aura and Julius and Constantine, I managed to write another poem. I really should be recording how many words in each of these poems, considering that these words would count towards NaNoWriMo, perhaps next year as I’ve already officially hit my goal, even though I need about 16,000 more words.

Anyways, this poem is about all the stuff that we build up inside ourselves, telling us that we’re not good enough or not worthy enough. Whether its job related, school related, significant other related or family related, we all have walls around parts of ourselves. In the class I’m taking, they call specific types of this covering – covering parts of yourself you don’t want others to see or know because you fear  (Or know) it will disadvantage you in some way. So without further ado, here’s the poem Walls.

64k Words – Progress Made This Weekend!

I hit 64k words and provide a longer snippet – can you guess what’s happening?

Salve!

So I participated in my own little word sprint this weekend in an effort to make up for the fact that I’ve been doing just poetry writing the last handful of days. Thus, a Word Sprint! Nearly 4k words today and still going! I wanted to post a snippet of what I’ve been doing, but like I’ve said before, it’s getting more and more difficult to post snippets without ruining big surprises or giving away earlier-in-the-story ones! Anyways, I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and that NaNoWriMo is treating you well! Remember to subscribe and like on my blog and on Facebook to get the most out of my writing!

NaNoWri Poem Writing – Papers, Please

A new NaNoWriMo poem – Papers Please!

Salve! Been a long week here in MD, with more work ahead! Been out of sorts today. Lots of challenges in the room today, some tears and fears all appeared, some out of nowhere. Very frustrating in a variety of ways.

Anywho, here’s another poem – Papers Please! Remember to like and subscribe to the blog for more of this fun stuff. I’ll calculate how many words I’ve been typing poetry wise this weekend and add it to my NaNoWriMo total!

Project 27 – Dark Horse

A new poem for National Novel Writing Month – Dark Horse (No Katie Perry Jokes, please!)

Good morning!

I’ve discovered that notes on my iPhone can be almost as useful for writing poetry as for writing to-do lists. Who knew? Anywho, spun this one up late last night (yes, I’m a night owl, AND I have to wake up early. Hence, my love of coffee :-). It’s entitled Dark Horse, and no, it’s not an ode to Katie Perry. Although if she’s reading then yes, it absolutely is an ode to her, and she should subscribe, just like you!

60k – NaNoWriMo Goal Halfway there!

60k words reached! Halfway to my NaNoWrimo Goal!

Salve!

As promised, here’s today’s second post with a TINY snippet. These chapters are harder to share considering that more and more important things are happening! Needless to say, these are some characters you haven’t met very much before. Need to remember who they are? Go back and reread your copy of Steel Praetorian. Don’t have one? Go fix that problem today! For now, I’ve hit 60,000 words! So happy! We’re halfway to our goal of 80,000 words. If I can do even better that would be awesome. I’ve noticed that I’ve had a lot harder time being motivated to type the novel, and I wonder if it’s the distraction of both school and class now. Anyone find some ideas for making yourself type or carve out time?

Anywho, enjoy the snippet and be sure to subscribe and like for more!
