Hi all,
Another day of NaNoWriMo in the books! In exciting news today, I’ve finished the first full length chapter. This war is definitely getting more vicious as the conflict drags on… Read the snippet after the break!
Current Word Count: 3,848 words – a bit ahead of schedule!
Thomas was already up, piling food on a plate as he read the dispatches. In the daylight he looked little better from the night before, deep circles under his eyes matching an extremely pale complexion.
“You’ll want to read this one at once.” he said, pushing it across the table to her. A servant brought her a heaping plate of eggs, sausage, and some small winter apples.
“Why good morning Senatora! Did you sleep well, Senatora? Are you hungry for breakfast, Senatora?” Octavia replied, shooting a glance at him.
“Good morning, Senatora Pelia. You’ll want to read this report at once.” Thomas hardly looked up from the dispatches as he spoke, voice monotone. Octavia took a bite of still steaming eggs, opening her mouth to let them cool as the hot food hit her mouth like the nectar of the gods. I guess supper was far too long ago.
With her fork she speared the report and drug it across the table to her. It was write simply, which meant Regillus himself had written it, and not one of the handful of noble aides that had been foisted upon him.
Early attacks compromised western-most positions. Can no longer guarantee two full days. Beginning retreat by ten. Please advise. – R
Our Senatora’s really come a long way, hasn’t she? Remember, you can pick up any of my five other novels in print or digitally on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or through Apple via Smashwords to see more of Octavia in action.

Yikes! LE will be intense. You going to leave a few good guys unscathed? No? Didn’t think so. You’re such a meanie, but that’s why I love this series.
Ha I actually had to go back into the last two books to make sure certain characters were still alive. It was difficult for a moment!
