So today I’m responding to a challenge from the NaNoWriMo2015 Forums provided by a 6th grader who is participating in the Youth Writer’s Program.
“Write a goodbye note from one of your characters. Write why they left and/or their deepest confessions.”
So here is Corbus’ goodbye note to Aura (technically late in Iron Tribune, but I suppose it counts.)
Goodbye Aura. Stop pretending to be my maid or something. It scares me to come home and find all my dirty laundry in neat piles everywhere. The least you could do is actually clean it, and not just refold all my bloodstained garments in perfectly folded stacks.
Oh, and you left your knives all over the house. Please come get them. Thanks,
Corbus.
I know, not very long. But that’s Corbus for you. They’ll be another posting later today with an excerpt or two. – Ciao! – Daniel
