Have you turned off your Internet today?

Turning off your internet for a day or a week – what will you accomplish?

Howdy folks,

I wanted to talk briefly today about something I think we could all use.

A day / week / month without internet.

Any Writing is Good Writing – Right?

Any writing is good – even if it’s for D&D, right?

Random thought of today – Any writing is good writing, right? (write?)

I’m joining a D&D campaign later this month, and after being provided a hefty dose of world building (Thanks DM!) I ended up writing about 4-5 paragraphs about my character. Pretty fun, and I realized how much I actually missed writing. I don’t suppose anyone would like to read my tentative background here, but if you are, leave a comment below and I’ll be glad to post it.

Today’s Message: Socks are incredibly warm and necessary.

I’m Alive!

Salve!

Long time no write, been a long winter! It’s a frigid weekday here, and schools are closed, so that means it’s time to write this lovely, simple message. I’ve been really busy adapting to a new school, finishing a Graduate School Certificate program, and in general hanging out with family, friends, and the fiance. With the publication of Laurel Emperor, the books have taken a bit of a back-burner. That will definitely change this summer, as my grad school program finishes, but in the meantime, we’ll just keep puttering along! I’ve got a few guest posts coming up in the next few weeks as I look to help out fellow authors, so be sure to check them out! Stay warm out there, folks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Salve! Happy Thanksgiving! From my family to yours, I truly hope you are spending this day with loved ones from near and far. If anyone hasn’t told you today that they are thankful for you, I am. You readers are half the reason I write (the other half, of course, is the sweet benefit of getting to tell my students I’m published, even if it is self-published.)

Happy Thanksgiving!

New Poem – Walls – NaNoWriMo 2017

Another NaNoWriMo Poem – Walls

Happy Almost Thanksgiving!

I was in a bit of an introspective mood this weekend, so in between writing about Aurelia and Aura and Julius and Constantine, I managed to write another poem. I really should be recording how many words in each of these poems, considering that these words would count towards NaNoWriMo, perhaps next year as I’ve already officially hit my goal, even though I need about 16,000 more words.

Anyways, this poem is about all the stuff that we build up inside ourselves, telling us that we’re not good enough or not worthy enough. Whether its job related, school related, significant other related or family related, we all have walls around parts of ourselves. In the class I’m taking, they call specific types of this covering – covering parts of yourself you don’t want others to see or know because you fear  (Or know) it will disadvantage you in some way. So without further ado, here’s the poem Walls.
