I’m Alive!

Salve!

Long time no write, been a long winter! It’s a frigid weekday here, and schools are closed, so that means it’s time to write this lovely, simple message. I’ve been really busy adapting to a new school, finishing a Graduate School Certificate program, and in general hanging out with family, friends, and the fiance. With the publication of Laurel Emperor, the books have taken a bit of a back-burner. That will definitely change this summer, as my grad school program finishes, but in the meantime, we’ll just keep puttering along! I’ve got a few guest posts coming up in the next few weeks as I look to help out fellow authors, so be sure to check them out! Stay warm out there, folks.

So I’ve finally managed to finish the entire Brass Legionnaire Novel! Hurray! It’s about 60k words, and it’s going to the editor come February! Found some great people at Scripta Editing Services to help out and others at Streetlight Graphics to help me format it and make it look beautiful. I’ve also found some help for funding these at Kickstarter, something that I hope will pan out!

For those of you who missed it, download the PDF of the first chapter (Edited, revised, and wonderful!) below!

Warmest Regards

– Daniel

Books, Christ's Childhood Friend, Christopher Moore, Greetings, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, The Dresden Files

Hey all, this is Littlewolf joining the Modern Papyrus team. Currently I’m immersing myself into Christopher Moore’s novel of blasphemous hilarity: Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal. Stay tuned for a full review as soon as I finish reading.

In the mean time, I’ll be doing some postings reviewing a few series in their entirety. Inspired by Double Alias’s review of Jim Butcher’s Changes, I’ll be starting with a review of the Dresden Files for those who have not yet been introduced to this amazing series. Until then, Littlewolf over and out.

Books, Challenges, Discussion, Greetings, Papyrus, requests, Travel

Welcome all to the first post of Modern Papyrus, a blog dedicated to two of my favorite things in life, books and travel. We’ll share our thoughts and ideas about some of our favorite books, and also take requests for reading and discussion from any and all. In time, we hope to provide a venue for discussion, idea creation, short story challenges, and other exciting things! So let us know what you want, and we’ll give it to you (Provided of course, its not something we don’t want to give to you!)

Love – The Modern Papyrus Team
