Finalizing Iron Tribune + A Kickstarter Update

Iron Tribune Updates Plus a Kickstarter Illustration Reveal!


Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay in posting but I wanted to have a lot to share! Below you’ll find a sample illustration and the final cover and back cover illustration/artwork. I’m really excited to share these with you. Kickstarter backers have access to almost all of the illustrations as well, which come as a perk of being a backer!

With these done, and the maps being finalized, all that remains is for me to double check all the formatting and illustration locations, receive the final files and upload them to the Amazon, B+N, and Smashwords book sites. With that done, I can order proof and final copy print books and prepare to send them out to all my backers and then place them up for general sale! Without further ado, here’s the illustrations.

Oh, and did I mention there’s a good chance I’ll be getting The Steam Empire Chronicles translated into a different language? I’m in negotiation with a company to license and distribute my book in Portuguese. We’ll see where it goes, but I’m excited to explore this opportunity!

Special September Notice


Hi everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know that 10% of all sales of any of my novels in the month of September will go to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society here in the United States. One of my future goals is to do something like this every year, highlighting a different organization or cause in need.

While there are many decent and right causes out there for us to all support, I urge you to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as many of the treatments that are found for these cancers can be applied to other cancers and diseases as well. Every dollar raised could be the one that tips us over the edge!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds the research and development of therapies that save thousands of lives every day. Two examples are targeted therapies that seek out cancer cells and kill them, and the use of a patient’s own immune system to kill cancer.

Well folks, it’s done. Barring the illustrations and formatting. Everything, including a sneak peek at Steel Praetorian, is off to be formatted, cleaned up, and prepared for my legions (yuk yuk) of fans to jump on and read to their heart’s content. So what’s left for me?

1.) Work on Steel Praetorian.

2.) Get a back blurb done!

3.) That’s it!

Option A!

With the Empire under attack from without, treachery and political maneuvering threaten to topple Rome from within. Constantine and his men have no choice. They must defeat the Mongols and their new weapons or die trying in IRON TRIBUNE.

Updates to Brass Legionnaire’s Book Summary Page + 8 DAYS LEFT IN THE KICKSTARTER!


Hi everyone,

I’ve updated the information on Brass Legionnaire’s book page above. I’m planning on having a friend do some general clean up work on the book, which will be significantly revised in the next month. Backers of the kickstarter who pledge $25 or more or add some money for additional print copies of Brass Legionnaire will get the updated version. Already have a copy? No worries! I’m looking at cleaning up various problems and smoothing the story out, so your old version will not be ‘obsolete!’ and if I choose to add an additional chapter, I’ll make it available for free here on the website, as that’s fair for everyone. (Although I want you to buy my books, I don’t want you to buy a new copy of Brass Legionnaire just for another chapter, that’s silly!)

In essence, I’ve added character plots for Julius, Constantine and Corbus. See the overall design of their story plots in BL, and learn a bit more about the characters!

Also, there’s only EIGHT DAYS LEFT IN THE KICKSTARTER! Help us reach $1250 and everyone will get BOTH of my novellas for free! Woo! We’re only about $230 away, so every dollar helps!

Screaming his rage and frustration, Odiscus battered his sword down onto the Quadi shieldwall. Once, twice, and the shield cracked, falling apart in his opponent’s hand. Speartips flashed past him, the murderous metal wet with blood and rain. Odiscus slammed his sword down one final time, burying it in his enemy’s shoulder. The man cried out, spinning away from him. Bastard! He thought as his sword tumbled away from him, still embedded in the barbarian’s shoulder.

The kickstarter for Iron Tribune is in full progress now. With 22 days to go, we’re at 4739 out of $750 needed! As usual in most kickstarter campaigns, the funding amount jumps at the beginning and the end, but stays relatively flat in the middle. We’ve been on a slow, but steady, increase over the first few days, and if you haven’t joined in yet, now is a great time!
