Any Writing is Good Writing – Right?

Any writing is good – even if it’s for D&D, right?

Random thought of today – Any writing is good writing, right? (write?)

I’m joining a D&D campaign later this month, and after being provided a hefty dose of world building (Thanks DM!) I ended up writing about 4-5 paragraphs about my character. Pretty fun, and I realized how much I actually missed writing. I don’t suppose anyone would like to read my tentative background here, but if you are, leave a comment below and I’ll be glad to post it.

Project 27 – Snapshot

Check out my latest poem.

Today’s Poem.

Snapshot

I take the photo.

Click.

Whir

Buzz.

Out slides the instant film.

A curiosity, attention grabbing, new-fangled thing

“Take my picture!”

Contrasting reds and blues, hues of green

Deep looks into eyes

that you never

quite

unsee.

What do these snapshots reveal?

What do these brief windows show?

Childhood ebbing

Drawing close to the end

but holding on perhaps

for one more summer day.

Project 27 – Eight Dollars

Another poem for Project 27 – Eight Dollars

Salve! Happy snow day to all of you on the American Eastern Seaboard discovering that spring does not yet equal warm weather, as Mother Nature decides “I haven’t really thrown a good snowball this season.”

Regardless, I found some time to do a ton of spring cleaning (Oh hi, dining room table, haven’t seen you in ages!), and this poem struck me mid clean. Another one to add to Project 27, so hope you enjoy.

How To – Using Google Documents to Plan Your Novel

Learn more about how I use Google Docs to outline my novels!

Hi everyone!

I briefly wanted to tell you about how I’ve been planning my last two novels. Ever since I started writing, I’ve been planning my novels out. Given the fact that I have to juggle story lines that evolve over several books, plus characters and technologies that don’t exist, one would except the need to have an outline or story map.

Editing Adds some Words

Minimal Progress, but lots of Editing happening!

Not much to report today, other than the fact that editing has so far netted me about 250 more words – one of the challenges with picking up a novel after leaving it for so long has been to actually remember where I was when I typed the first part! No worries, it will get there!
