Hi all,
It’s been a while since I said something other than I’ll be at the Renaissance Festival! While I wish I could say I’ve been doing some amazing writing, its been way more mundane.
First up, life has been very busy. Family, friends, work, all of it has been taking up more and more time, as these things do when you get older. But for once, I see a brief pause. I’ve recently achieved a couple of professional (education) goals, and with these things now behind me, or about to be behind me, I can actually focus on again on some more creative pursuits.
So what’s on the docket? Likely I’ll be at work on my fantasy middle readers novel – the Loop Road. Somewhat loosely set in my own D&D World, the Loop Road follows a gaggle of novice adventurers on their first gig – just escort duty right? What could possibly go wrong?
But I’m also setting a goal for myself with this. I’d actually like to publish it, and since it’s been quite some time since I actually did this, I’ll likely be popping back onto Kickstarter to help get some lovely illustrations & editing done. Will it be out by this fall? I hope so! I’d love for it to be so.
I’m aiming to be back on here more frequently too. In between avoiding a ton of spam emails (authors really do get a ton, and boy, are there a million people offering me SEO support, etc etc) and dealing with the ever collapsing state of our democracy, I think this will be a good outlet to help rebuild some of my own creativity now.
So specific goals
Finish the book, write at least one blog post per month.
But with that, remember you can always grab my things in the links above, whether its D&D Modules or my Steam Empire Chronicles series, and every purchase helps keep the (tiny) flame alive for me.
All the best.
