Tallavanor’s Tales: Mulhüssen Beckons

Hello all! It’s time for another set of Tallavanor’s Tales. Last time, we were gathering out supplies for the next leg of our journey. We’ve traveled to a new town – Mulhüssen, and our heroes are still hunting for the missing link to their mystery. Who hired them to kill the count, and how is it connected to Mulhüssen? Take it away, Tallavanor.

Year of Accountability: 3/8-3/14 Sickness & Soccer

It’s been a crazy week, but here’s a teaser of the new cover of The Last Gladiator to make your day!

Hi all,

It’s been a crazy week! Between starting soccer, and getting sick with a nasty bug that doesn’t want to let my voice go, it’s been a tricky time. Such is life! I’ve made only a little headway on projects due to convalescing. But I can announce that I’ll be ready to release the cover art for the Last Gladiator this upcoming week! So some progress!

I also realized that I never actually set a goal for this week! Eek!

So for this next wee, I want to get to the 35,000 word mark in the Last Gladiator. That’s my aimed end point, and I’d love to actually be able to get this thing done. Before that, here’s a teaser!

Year of Accountability 3/1-3/6

Hi all,

Let’s hear how accountable I was this week! What did I do?

Well,

I wrote a 4,000 word short story, so yay for being successful! I also published my latest D&D adventure – the Invasion of the Phandelver Valley. So lots got done this week. I ended up not submitting my short story. I felt it didn’t match the parameters of the request (a steampunk fairy tale) and instead was a more exploration with fantasy components.

So now I’ve got 4,000 words for A Brief History of New Caesaria 🙂

Invasion of Phandelver Released!

I just released my Invasion of the Phandelver Valley custom campaign (its a doozy!), and went through and updated all the resource home pages, so go check them out! (I’ve updated this with a new link to the finalized and upgraded version on DMs Guild. It contains of 40 pages of great content!).

  1. A link between the Phandelver Mine final mission and a series of escalating Orc attacks designed to pull in Neverwinter (and any missions you might have there!)
  2. An opportunity for characters to experience larger battles, and direct the actions of NPCs.
  3. Actions & Consequences for missions – which NPC do you throw your support behind? What resources can they muster to help defend the valley? If you chose not to complete some of their requests, how will that help or hurt you?
  4. Several maps to outline your battles and ideas for siege attacks, with stats for siege engines & defensive buildings.

Convention Bound!

Salve! I’m excited to announce that I’ll be attending the Shore Leave Convention in Hunt Valley, Maryland this summer! I’ll be selling and signing books, and it will be a great opportunity to meet me and a ton of other authors!

Tallavanor’s Tales – The Next Fork in the Road

Tallavanor’s Tales Resume! The next fork in the road.

Last week, Tallavanor discovered the secret of the late Count – or rather, the late Counts. We’ve got some choices to make, and Tallavanor will have to decide where the wind will take him next. With that, I’ll turn it over to him, and let him explain what happened after the last few moments with the Count.

Year of Accountability – 2/23

Last week’s goals were…

  1. Get to 33,000 words in The Last Gladiator
  2. Get the first draft of the Cover art of the Last Gladiator
  3. Sign up for Shore Leave, the convention!

How did I do?

Well, I didn’t make my goal, mainly because I got very distracted by writing an entirely unrelated short story! I have some news to share soon about both Shore Leave and getting Cover Art together. So my goal this week is simple!

Finish a 4,000 word steampunk fairy tale story to submit to a publication for the first time ever! I’ll let you know how it goes!

Wish me luck!

Announcing my Next Custom Mission – Invasion of the Phandelver Valley

Hi all!

In preparation for my continuing D&D adventures, I’ve been working on another custom mission. Or in this case, a series of missions linked together in the Invasion of the Phandelver Valley. Set in the Forgotten Realms universe alongside the Starter Set Campaign, this series of missions will be a great test of our newly powerful heroes right as they complete the Lost Mines final mission.

Tallavanor’s Tales – In it to the End

Greetings Everyone! Welcome back to another episode of Tallavanor’s tales! Last week our heroes faced a tricky challenge with multiple oozes attacking from all directions. This week we have the conclusion to this series of adventures, where Watch Officer Tallavanor gets to the bottom of the case of the kidnapped Count. With that, I’ll turn it over to our lawman.
